Compare every way to sell your home
Private sale platforms, flat-fee agencies and traditional agents, side by side. Every competitor price here comes from their own published pricing page.
How we write these
Every price is taken from the competitor’s own published pricing page and dated. We name what each platform is genuinely good at, including where it beats us, and we say plainly when a traditional agent is the better choice. A comparison that only flatters us would not be worth reading.
The comparisons
| # | Comparison | Status |
|---|---|---|
| 01 | Private sale platforms compared Every platform that lists your home on realestate.com.au and Domain, with what each one costs. | Published |
| 02 | Unreserved vs a traditional agent Cost, service, control and legal standing, including where an agent is the better choice. | Published |
| 03 | Unreserved vs PropertyNow Both licensed. What actually separates them. | Published |
| 04 | Unreserved vs buyMyplace A licensed agency against a listing service. | Published |
| 05 | Unreserved vs helm $900 once against $2,499 once, and what the difference buys. | Published |
| 06 | Unreserved Lite vs Plus Which of our own two tiers fits your sale. | Published |
Nothing is linked here before it is live, so every link on this page resolves.
What specific agencies charge
None of the big networks publishes a commission rate. These pages give the market context instead, plus how to get their real number out of an appraisal. Start at the agency commission overview, or go straight to one:
- Ray White commission rates
- Jellis Craig commission rates
- McGrath commission rates
- Barry Plant commission rates
- LJ Hooker commission rates
- Harcourts commission rates
Not sure which comparison you need?
Fifteen minutes with a licensed agent who will point you at the right one, including if the answer is a competitor. No obligation.
Talk to a licensed agentOur rules for these pages
- Every competitor figure is sourced and dated. We fetch it from their own pricing page rather than repeating what an article said last year.
- We review quarterly. Their pricing moves and ours does too. Each page carries the date its figures were captured.
- We name what they are better at. If a platform genuinely suits a seller better than we do, the page says so.
- We do not publish a scorecard where we win everything. Unreserved is a licensed agency, our competitors can raise a complaint with a regulator, and a misleading comparison would deserve one.
Ben’s insightThe reason to be scrupulous here is not only compliance. A comparison table that flatters the publisher is obvious within about ten seconds, and nobody links to it or quotes it. The useful version is the one a seller would still trust after checking two of the prices themselves.
